2011 B-12 Results & Re-Cap

Friday, 23 September 2011 20:33

The 5th Annual 12 Hours of Bradbury Mountain might have had the best vibe yet!  300 Riders from all over New England and beyond including Canada & Colorado converged on the park Friday & Saturday for 12 hours of single-track paradise.  The races were interesting from the get-go.  Highlighted by the 2 person men's race as some of the fastest riders in New England teamed up to battle it out down to the wire.

Just after our annual spirited kid's race at noon, locals King Memphis took the stage and set the music precedent too high for this event!  A big thanks to Matt Robbins and his band for dedicating their afternoon.  The 3 person Family Team race got as close as 5 seconds late in the day while the 2 person Coed Team Race turned into a back and forth dual.

The Solo crown went to Greg Jancaitis as he continued his run of consecutive 12 hour race victories.  All the talented riders in the solo classes continue to amaze us each year.  We had our first solo junior this year as local Jacob Inger rode his heart out completing 8 solid laps!  A big thanks to everyone who has comes to this event year after year.  The Bradbury 12 has turned into a New England classic due to the friendships that have formed and the positive attitute & enthusiasm all the participants have!

Yours on the trails,

B12 Registration & Entertainment Update

Saturday, 10 September 2011 13:01

As the 5th Anniversary of the B12 approaches the registration cut-off of 300 participants, there are some fun developments to report on in world of B12 entertainment.  We are very excited to welcome locals King Memphis! They will take the stage between 1:00 and 2:00 and liven up the afternoon with some killer rockabilly.

Some races to keep an eye on this year are the 2 person Expert Men's class with some strong solo riders teaming up to try and take down perennial speedster and fellow race promoter Andrew Freye.

Watch for the fastest lap by a female rider as that winner will be the recipient of a brand new Carver Bike Frame!

Finally, the team names this year have been brought to another level....perhaps a top 3 and podium shot for this creativity?
